1997 EL XR6 From factory with 5 speed manual, tickford body kit, FTR rims. 140,000 km CMS stage 3 cam Ported and polished tickford head extractors with custom polished heat shield Iridium spark plugs 9mm racing leads AU injectors 2.5" exhaust 2.5" high flow cat polished 3" intake pipe k+n pod in box custom cold air intake El GT snorkel 68mm Throttle Body internally polished intake manifold front and rear Sloted DBA rotors front and rear braided brake lines heavy duty clutch reinforced fire wall mal wood pedal box reinforcing kit shortened shifter 20% tints nolathane bushes front and rear dynos 150-165rkwk has run 14.3 ET, (before the new throttle body) pm me if your interested engine work, clutch, bushes, firewall, pedal box, brakes done by joe at crescent thanks vince i dont have any photos but its navy with the full tickford kit and FTR rims, check out my gallery for a couple of engine bay shots..

theres f**k heaps of XR's out there with your budget, i dont see the problem apart from being insanely fussy.
your talking about a 'performance' car thats over 12 years old. Theres always gonna be little niggly things wrong with it. Do you expect to find one with a ground up rebuild for 8g ?? good luck with finding one tho, i wish i could go shopping for an XR

I would love to find something with under 100,000kms on it, i would snap it up straight away.

that would be an extremely rare find, to find a car that has only done 6-8k kms per year for 12-15 years will be tough, depends how long you are willing to wait

I found a EL XR6 with 62,000 but had some issues and didnt buy it WHICH WAS A MAJOR F$#$KEN MISTAKE. Should of just bought it and fixed it as i would not find anything with that sort of kms and immaculate condition.
That car has set the bar 4 me and my hopes are very slim of finding anything like that again. But if i dont i think i will travell to the dark side and buy a Holden VY with low kms and install a LPG kit on it 
And honestly i dont want 2 do that LOL i really want a EF/EL XR6 as im a ford boy all the way

whats your budget? if your thinking of going to a holden vy, why not get a BA? they are both as common as eachother and about the same price anyway... and as we all know the straight 6 performs well above the v6...

I have a budget of $10k
I would love to go BA but then i would need $4500-5000 for a VSI or liquid lpg kit which would wreak my budget. With a VY i can get a IMPCO system which are great on them for $2800.00 and my pay back period is 6 months compared to 2.5yrs if i were to buy a BA. Im only going to keep the car between 2-3 years then upgrade to a BF XR6 MK11 6 speed as they will be cheaper then. I change my car every 2-3 years and 3 years is up now and it works well for me as i can claim my car and everything i spend on it on tax.

Check this out EF XR6 with 56,000kms on it, F#$%EN SUCKS that its a 5 speed as im looking for a automatic.

13k is steep, for 13k you could look at a factory fitted lpg falcon

13,000 is a rip off, i dont care if its done 56,000k's, its got the worlds ugliest wheels on it lol.
