What ECU do you have at the moment? may be a cheaper alternative to go a programed J3 chip all up cost of about 250 and you can mod and change your cam intake etc and still tune it with the chip?
Manual EF ECU's aint that cheap so J3 and you existing ecu maybe a cheaper option also J3 can use an auto ECU but read off the J3 and tells it that its a manual!

i will have to look at my ecu numbers.the only problem with mine is the knock sensor circuit.i have changed knock senor but it still pings.actually it still pings on premuim.with the j3 chip can i change the spark table and max timing?

pretty much you can change almost anything with a J3 chip spark,fuel,advance timing,rpm limiter,plenty of things
It improved my idle over the standard el xr6 ecu
