why are you after a standard one? if its for insurance purposes, it shouldnt matter too much if the replacement system is intended as a direct replacement, not an upgrade

Im not after the stock one only, just seeing if anyone had them and if so what kind of $$$ they after.
Mines had enough, one of the mufflers has come away from the pipes lol.

I dont mind replacing it with a non stock one really, just figured itd be nice to leave everything stock or at least possible to make it stock again when time comes to sell.

Plus the stock exhaust sounded great for a factory job of that MY, i really like the sound now, worried ill get a system made up n wont like the sound, be too loud or have no throaty v8 sound which ive come used to.

There is a guy in QLD, with a set. Not sure whether he has the exhaust, but he has the headers. He should have the rest of the exhaust.

There seems to be a fair few who take off their stock exhaust, fit a bigger throatier one on there and keep the original for when they go to sell.

Probably all go for fair dollars. I reckon your better off going with aftermarket, as long as it has the original headers, be a fair bit cheaper unless you go stainless.

The FBT sound is fine, its just not "LOUD" which is good for sedate people lol.
Im willing to go out on a ledge n try a custom exhaust and will get a quote tomorrow.

The Ford price was rediculous, i started at back as i need cats to tial pipe and the 1st muffler RRP was over $1380.00!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i pretty much just walked off there n then.. and this was after hes like "oh there not too badly priced for such a sort after stock item" i mean you have to be kidding me, i dont thin anyone would pay that, as if they have people ordering this "sort after" item daily, very annoying.

Thats not a bad price, a quality after market system will not be any chaeper,

It cost me $1200 for extractors and system terminating in front of the diff!!! It is a stainless dual system with mandrel bends and X pipe, including stainless extractors, but to run it over the diff will be another $700 and the tips alone will be another $200 for the pair, repo stainless xb gt tips!!! total $2200 but the system will be good for 500 plus horses and it will last a lifetime!!

Unless you want to run a taxi exhaust it will cost you, quality does not come chaep!!!!

The $1380.00+ was for one muffler, no pipes, no install, no tips, no cats, not res, nothing else but one single muffler, gotta be kidding me thats not bad.

did you try the big ford dealers, i.e. city ford, and the main one in cambellfield i think.
the smaller ones i have found are easily 30% higher in price, this is for taxi so its trade prices i'm comparing.

Typical ford pricing - any of their special parts / limited batch of manufactured parts are always going to be $$$ - I think retain factory headers for originality and then source reasonable twin system from cat(s) back.

My 2c.
