I have a EL auto ecu that's out of a cop car, I have been told that its basically a EL xr6 auto ecu but tricked up for the cops, someone here might be able to confirm this. Some features are..

Speed limiter removed.
Holds auto in 3rd under 60 kph.

Don't forget to keep an eye out for the EL Fairmont Ghia ECU as it also has the XR6 fuel and ignition maps.

Yes, the Ghia ECU also can control the Speed Sensitive Steering, but apart from that, not much is different.

Both are programmed for the Auto to work with the 3.45 diff gears, and have the tickford ignition and fuel maps.

I am using an EL Ghia ECU in my EB with an EL engine. Made quite a noticeable difference.

Gidday

Both of those codes are for the standard Fairmont, not the Fairmont Ghia.

The code for the Ghia is 6DJA and the XR6 Auto is 6TBC and 6TBD
