hi guys, im after a Vernier Gear and a set of shims.

before you tell me to go to Ford for the shims, i aint paying $7 each for 1 tiny little washer-like thing :P

anyone got any of these, can you let me know?

I have a brand new Crow Cams vernier cam gear to suit the E-series SOHC I6. It's never been used, still sealed in the original packaging. If your interested?

hmmm. how much? moneys hell tight at the moment (shouldntve gotten a ps3 and TV at the same time lol), so it might not be for a coupla weeks but i am interested.

What rocker gear have you got? EA-ED was different to EF-EL, and I think the HLA's changed again on hybrid and AU, I have a sneeking feeling EF-AU are the same however.

I will try and find the suitable washer size to use to replace or add to the shim thickness.

on a side note, if you are looking for washers, you need the OD not the ID to size them up otherwise wrong OD and you will smash it to bits.

mines an EL. i thought it was just 3.9's that had bigger rocker gear?

What year is the XG motor? Sorry I should know the answer, but X series always thows me, though it better to ask.

XG is the 4.0, 93-96 if i remember correctly. ED style motor.

In the same boat as you atm...

Dad is a motor mechanic... The 3.9L have different shim sizes to the 4.0L he thinks... anything with a 4.0L ED style head should all be the same shims...
