If you just want the plug, then it won't make a difference.. What are you trying to do?

Do you need an EL or an EF unit or just the plastic cable carrier?
reason I ask is the Ef and EL ecu's have a different number of pins...

I am just after the plug that is on the ecu (not the harness one).

It doesnt really matter to me what the pin numbers are as long as it plugs into the EF wiring harness.

What I want to do is make up a short adaptor harness to suit an aftermarket ECU. It just has to be able to plug into the original EF harness & the new ECU. I dont really want to go cutting up the original harness just in case I want to re-use the factory ECU (just in case I go back to standard at some stage - like for emissions testing).

Just managed to have a look through an EF/EL repair manual. Looks like the EF I6 & V8 are the same as is the EL V8. But the EL I6 is no good to me.

Surely someone out there must have a stock EF 6-cyl (working or not) ecu they want to part with or know of one sitting in a wrecking yard somewhere :!:

I think I may have already found one.

Name a price for me to consider.
