found this rubber intake neck off an ea centre point injected 3.9 engine..

so put it to use as a typhoon 2nd intake mod.. -is bascally the same shape/diametre as the rubber typhoon snorkel..

here's the pics.... took 30 mins to take the lower box out.. trace the hole with a texta.. cut it out with the dremel.. fit the rubber neck through and re install the box back in...

saved the price of buying a typhoon lower air box and no need to spend the $64-75 plus postage on a genuine typhoon snorkel..

a bit of topic but fordfreak were you at the lights on the corner of homebushbay dve turning left onto victoria rd the other day and a guy in a silver BA Turbo beeped at you and waved? You dont know me personally but i recognised your car from ford mods. Just saying hi and nice car. :).

You've done that to a BA? I just mention it as i don't think it would get air in an EA-ED, or much in an EF/EL.

was probably me as i drive through there to get to the Balmain shipyard.. (i think i may have been on way way back home after picking up a coffee table i won on ebay located at cabarita...)

seemed induction turbo wine was not existant so i went about modding the mod...

pics here... i baught anotther 2 ea snorkels and cut them and joined them together to almost double the snorkel size... more turbo wine now... :wink:

i used an instant touch super strong SUPER GLUE.. but BEWARE USING IT!!!! :shock:

the snorkel fits between the chassis and the bottom of the heaslight.. where the factory FPV snorkel gets it's air from...

im sure my economy will slightly improve with better airflow into the intake...

power?? i pulled 225RWKW on saterday in 40 degree heat with my 20's on.. i'ts hard to notice when she's allready a quick powerful car.. lol..
