Hi all.
So it turns out my alternator for my 1996 Falcon is stuffed. Seems easy enough to replace. I was just wondering if anyone had used a second hand alternator from the wreckers and if they'd had any issues?
I'll eventually get a new one, but $50 right now as opposed to $250 minimum is a lot more manageable.
Any thoughts?

Is you 96 Falcon an EF or EL?

EF's are 110amp and some EL's are 100amp, it will be ok to use the 110amp in place of the 100amp but you need a 110amp if you have an EF.

Used alternator from the wreckers should come with a 3 mth warranty, if not don't buy it.
