A mates fuel pump was constantly pulsing so I replaced it but its still doing it. I'm thinking the sender is buggered as he also has issues with the fuel gauge reading 3/4 when its full and 1/4 on empty.

Any help would be great.

I had a similar problem in my xg . It turned out to be the ecu . Wish I new I replaced alot of pumps and ended up rewireing the hole pump set up. U can get a ecu for about $40 from the wreckers

This is an el factory 5spd so not cheap to replace and I only own ef so can't swap to check.

Iv used the auto computers in manuals . Just searches for idle when stationary .
