Is the clock in the dash meant to work off the
ignition only or from the time u turn on the accessories?

That's what I thought it should do. Which means the previous
owner has changedit to this configuration for some unknown
reason. Not sure y u would do this. Kinda makes me a little
worried.

The trip computer only comes on with the key in the on position. You have that or just the basic clock?
