your car may have dodgy sensors also.... Oxygen, Map, Coolent sensor also your thermostat if it doesnt warm up quick you will chew fuel as cold running mixture is VERY rich also the intake air temp sensor as well.

when i bought my current ed it was doin 300km to a tank.....

i converted it to EL EFI and did all the sensors now im pushing 550km a tank and this motor has 400,000km on it, and the torque converter never locks which makes alot of difference

don't even attempt changing plugs and leads with a hot engine. fitting leads in one at a time is a headache. they get tangled up when feeding through the manifold. get them all through the gap between the manifold, then put no 1 on then follow the firing order clockwise around the distributor cap. (written on the side of the manifold) Cylinder 1 is the plug furtherest forward on the distributor.
Pop the cap off and check for corrosion while you have the leads off.
