What about your rear interior light or your glovebox light, just a thought, glovebox has got me before.

Could also be smartlock failure in the ignition barrel.

Have you tried resetting smartlock, putting it through the learn process again, only takes 30 - 60 mins.

thanks all it was the rear interior light it was blown disconnected it completely and she fired first time

thanks to all for your advice and suggestions i now know a little more about fords well the ED anyway
