Hi people, I am about to swap one BCM on a EF GLi for another (same). Will I need to "retrain" the new one, or is just a plug and play?

The old one is playing up, you know, bang the dash to get the starter motor to work etc.......

Thanks

yep it will need a retrain. install the new bem and turn the key to the on position and leave it for 30 mins or so with the doors closed. the locks will cycle and the smart lock light will go out.

Just a thought can you use an EL bcm in a ED if your running a EL ecu and manifold? or does it have to be an ed bcm? any difference between 6 and 8 cyl?
