Its not something that can be unreliable. I typed that out from the "Performance electronics for Cars" book and you should be able to find more info on the jaycar site |

Quote: Car must be fitted with air flow and EGO sensors (standard on all EFI systems) for full functionality.
Not sure about that bit. I got a MAP sensor not a MAF ![]() Will that make a difference?

My bad.. sorry that was for the "SMART FUEL MIXTURE DISPLAY FOR FUEL INJECTED CARS", which is actually the quoted cat no: KC5374.
I'll search more for the duty cycle meter

CAT. No. KC5375
LED Duty Cycle Meter for Fuel Injected Cars Ref: High Performance Electronics Projects for Cars - Silicon Chip Publications. Automatically operate an extra fuel injector or fuel pump etc, when your fuel injector duty cycle reaches a preset level. It measures the exact injection pulse from your ECU, and displays it on a pair of 7 segment LED displays. It offers a super-fast sampling rate to display real time injector pulsing, and the display is mounted on a small remote PCB so it’s suitable for dash mounting. A simple duty cycle generator is included for testing. Kit supplied with PCB, and all electronic components. ![]() $54.95 http://www.jaycar.com.au/productView.as ... &SUBCATID=

My car with a blocked fuel filter:
![]() With a new filter, but different dyno: ![]() Still a bit lean for my liking, considering it used to run at 10.5-12

Stating power figures isn't worth it unless it was on the same dyno

Additive is the technical name for snake oil..... Got mine cleaned for $120. UNBELIEVABLE difference... Wifey had religously used injector cleaner too. Car's done 290K - same injectors (get the hint ![]() Bursons want $240 for CHANGEOVER units ($200 deposit). Ouch! Get 'em cleaned by someone who gives a s**t! Mine took all day. Pulling them out was the fun part (bloody BBM)

They guy who was going to reco them for me does before and after flow testes, and will make sure they are within 1% of each other.

Yeah my guy did that as well, he did say it took a few trips to the cleaner to get them to flow standard rates again.... My car (and the injectors) has done 290k tho!
Good luck!

![]() Hehe - useful little gadget that! Get him to take them out - it's a prick of a job - my stoopid haynes manual reckons you can get the out without pulling the top of the broad-band manifold. Maybe if you reef the crap out of the fuel rail! I ended up splitting the manifold ![]() Lucky I had the spare gasket left over from the VRS kit I used on the head..
