I've read the last 38 pages trying to find an answer but still a little lost for an answer. So I've picked up a 07/97 XH XR6 auto and the computer was fried in it ( 5TBC). I can't seem to track down a identical ecu, what are my options as far as other computers I can run? Thanks. Jason. an EL auto XR6 ECU will work in it, 6TBx (x meaning any letter) the only difference will be the auto's shift points. |

So ED manual.. non tickford. To back that up.. here are some instructions I found online too: http://222.fordforums.com.au/showthread.php?p=136244 The 4 digit number on the ECU will tell you whether it is auto or manual. 1st digit is the year (ie 7=1987) (for an EA you would want prior to I think 1992) 2nd digit is either D or T (D for Ford and T for Tickford) 3rd digit as a general rule A=Manual and B=Auto, anything else and you would have to check with Ford. 4th digit is possibly revision, but i have been told differing things regarding it. seems to match up nicely. cheers Frank sorry .. but that sounds odd ta me

just going thru my little collection ecu's ....
1- 7DCE - CPFI manual 1- 7DBD - 3.9 MPFI & 3sp auto was fitted to a EA Ghia 1- 7DBC - 3.9 MPFI & 3sp auto was fitted to a EA 'S' [2.77 diff] 1- 7DAC - 3.9 MPFI & 5sp manual was fitted to a EA GLi wagoon [2.92 lsd] 1- 1DCC - EB2 GLi sedan 4ltr? with 4sp {DESCRIPTION} |

Hi guys,can anyone tell me what 22AB Is for,it was on ebay as AU Maual Ute series 1 & 2.
Can anyone tell if this correct-cant find this code anywhere,thanks in advance,John.

Cheers dumping is pulling a copy of the bin from the ecu to computer. ill need your email address as I can send it on here
