The screamin Deamon coils with the AU 111 leads look like a feasable option, did a net search and the performance gains seem to be there.
Any one got a price on the Screamin Deamon coil #31738.
Hey twr7cx the MSD Dis-4 HO is recommended for drag or high boost applications, the standard Dis-4 produces around 115mj and the HO produces around 170mj from memory, I know where you can get a HO new for $450.

Does that mean that it would be bad to run it for a low boost (9psi) road car. Or just that it would be overkill? Overkill is fine, but if it's going to be causing other issues, then it's not good. $450.00 seems to be an extremely good price!

The HO would definately be overkill for N/A, I reckon your plugs leads and coil would have to be up to the task just to handle the extra power. The HO for $450 is New second hand but it is on a Ho***n web site, I hate to admit it but I joined just to buy my Dis-4.

Recieved my MSD Dis-4 ignition module today, has $720 written on the box, Cappa quoted me $650 I paid $420 inc postage happy with that. Checked out the Accel coils, I am going to create an account and get a price including postage from Summit Racing America, will post the price up as soon as I get it.

Price for the Acell Ford 6Tower Dis coil 140036 is $112 U/S Inc Postage, seriously considering ordering this coil, and then a decent set of AU 111 leads.

Yep understand that, but from what I have found out the GM 2 Blaster coils are a direct replacement for the V6 holden, so I am assuming some wiring or small loom would be required to suit the ford.

you could also look at the blaster DIS coils, they are single post coil but can be wired in pairs for waste spark. they are only for use with DIS-2 DIS-4 and DIS-HO ignitions.

PN:8230

How does that work?

The Blaster DIS Coils 8230 (http://www.msdignition.com/coil_blaster_2_8230.htm) - in the User Instructions (http://www.msdignition.com/pdf/8230_frm21166.pdf), it only shows how 4 of them can be connected to the DIS-4. How are 6 set up?

Any idea on the differences between the DIS-4 and DIS-4 HO - is the HO able to be used on a road car - it talks about it being from drag application, etc.

A coil on plug setup would be nice, as it would get rid of the need to mount the coils somewhere and run ignition leads. I know I'm running out of real estate in my engine bay with the LPG and intercooler pipes.

the coils can be wired in pairs. so you'd use 3 of the 4 chanels on the dis-4
