Hey all, I have an ED futura and it is on gas and petrol. The gas tank is 65L and at the moment I am getting 240kms/tank. On fuel I am noticing a bigger consumption aswell.
I have new plugs and a new air filter installed and makes no difference. I have been looking and reading several threads the O2 sensor could need replacing. Also I was thinking the temp sensor as it may not be reading the temp correctly. With the air con on and heavy traffic driving my temp dosen't leave the blue part of the dial, is this normal. Your thoughts would be great. |

hmmmm... my gas is also running like s**t at the moment, has been for months now, just been to busy doing other things to gett it check out. my LPG tank is somewhere between 65 to 70L and i only get 265km's max. Usued to get 350 to 450 a year a go.
With LPG it makes no difference how I drive - grannyu, flogging it, highway, city always uses the exact same amount! |

Could we both have issues with some sensors??? |

Could we both have issues with some sensors??? unlikely, gas runs similar to carby. mines backfiring more - but i blamne the iridium plugs as they seemed to increase it aside from the decreased milage the power on it seems to be a bit improved - which might point to s**t tune for me. but the guys here are retarded. |

I am noticing it with both petrol and gas, so therefor has to be something common with both.

I finally fitted a new O2 sensor and have noticed a difference already. I am halfway through my first tank of gas since fitting it and have done 180kms, normally i would be at a quarter of a tank and be looking to fill up again.
Looking at the old sensor, it was full of soot type stuff and therefor not reading correctly. If you have had issues with your fuel consumption and have tried the new plugs and filter, this is a good thing to try. I got it at trade price and was $120ish. Full retail i was quoted $163. |

if you look at your new oxy sensor after 100km's it'll prolly be covered in soot again. what can you expect when it's in the exhaust!
When I was installing my A/F Gauge I noticed my LPG is actually wired up to the oxy sensor. Very suprising. Wouldn't of thought it would of used it. |

Dude, trade price at bursons is $45-ish and retail is around $60-$75 EA-EL are all the same. |

Ford Dealer wanted $160, Repco $120 and at Burson $60-70, which I paid. Pays to shop around! (And DIY for a cheap, easy job too! Took me 10 mins, at most!) Wolfpac

So Bursons have a much cheaper supplier, and I'd say that's likely to reflect back in the quality. I'd rather pay the extra and only have to replace it once. |

Unless Burson are reboxing sensors, I have in my hand a NTK/NGK oxy (Lambda) Sensor...

Someone's been too brainwashed by Repco, methinks... 
I think I only paid $65 for it somehow... I'll dig out the recipt and find out for sure. BTW, it does make a differance, seems to have a bit more up and go, and certainly uses less fuel now. Wolfpac

Nah, I still get stuff from other auto stores, e.g. Autobarn had a special on the oil I use the other day. But when I do get something from work, I always see how much they pay for it, compared to what I'm paying, out of interest, and I did see that the oxy sensors were high. Were getting jipped I guess. |

Not by that much really, a couple of bucks at the end of the day... I just brought it up, considering you said that there was no way Bursons sold the NTK ozy sensor...
