Here's another post that was 'lost' from Fordmods.

There has been quite a bit written on how the EECIV/V works, but I certainly haven't recently read a good description myself.

Last year I came across the document "TECHNICAL NOTES ON THE EEC-IV MCU" compiled by Tom Cloud <cloud@peaches.ph.utexas.edu>. This document is getting pretty old now, and I hope there is something more up to date.

Anyway, I have some thoughts to add and have prepared some updated words, particularly on how the fuelling aspects work.

It's a pretty long (and boring) read, and so it might be worth printing it out for some bedtime reading (perhaps a cure for insomnia).
