nope - not worth the time or money!

If you do a search you will find this has been brought up a number of times. This 'chip' is actually only a resistor that you fit to the ACT sensor, which will fool the computer into thinking that the incoming air is cooler and therefore advance the timing a little. During normal running temps, the EEC pulls about 4 degrees of timing from is't base maps, therefore this resistor mod should result in 4 degrees of timing advance (not exactly worth the 20hp gain they claim LOL, maybe 2-3hp if you are are lucky).

The major downside of this mod is that you remove the inbuilt safety if the engine starts to overheat. Instead of the EEC pulling timing it will continue to give you full timing which will likely result in pinging and engine damage. It would be far safer just to advance the base timing 4 degrees, this would give you the same small performance increase plus allow the EEC to compensate if the engine starts to overheat.
