Mate,

The vapour injection systems run like a car does on petrol. ie. Injectors in the manifold which inject based on the signal from the car ECU, hence mimicking the operation of the car on petrol.
The system is computer controlled, and has its own ECU, automatically switches over to gas after the engine reaches a set temp and goes over set no. of revs.

These systems have fual mapping for each model, hence they are as close to running on petrol as possible.

No mixer ring either.

So whats the deal with this install rebate? You pay for the install first? and then you get some money back? Where do u go - to get the money back.?
Do u have to fill out some forms?

You pay for intsall and get receipt. You got to centrelink and get forms. You fill out the first page, installer fills out second page. Take install receipt and rego receipt with forms back to centrelink and they pay refund into your bank.

Not to sure on timeframe as I am handing my form in on Monday.

r u sure u will get back $3000,i thought the rebate was $1,000 for a new vehicle factory fitted with gas and $2,000 for a retro fit system to any vehicle regardless of the cost,i had my wife's 2002 laser fitted a few mths ago it cost $2050 and i recieved $2,000 rebate, costs $17.00 to fill and i get around 360k's a tank.

To get the $2,000 federal rebate you claim after you've had it installed and paid for youself, you can download a claim form from
http://www.ausindustry.gov.au/
and take it to centrelink or medicare with the installers stamp etc on the clain form plus rego papers to prove vehicle is private use.takes around 2 weeks for the cash,i can't help u with the w.a. rebate as i'm in s.a. and they're scabs over here.
i'm sure any installer can advise anyway but there will be a long wait as in s.a people r waiting 9-12 mths.

If your in perth, i recommend Gas Power Australia

On the radio etc the waiting list was apprently 6months. Thats s**t, i only waited 6weeks.

A little hint. keep ringing them up. Just s**t stuff like you told me my kit would be in last week. BLAH, i pushed my way through the list.
