Auto or manual?

Send me a PM. You can send it in, but at this stage the only def we have is for an auto ecu (WACD).

Cheers,
Jason

Just a general question...

How compatible is one tune to another model running the same ignition system

eg. can a chip that was tuned for an EF 6cyl auto, then work fine 'as is' when used in a NF 6cyl fairlane?

Hi there, I was hoping you could help me out here.

I am converting from a Series 1 AU fairmont GHIA - VCT (AUTO) to a Manual.

I was wondering if a J3 chip with the series 1 XR6 VCT MANUAL program would sort out the ECU problems? If so, do you have on available at the moment, if so how much? if not, when will it be available?

Thanks in advance!

You're best off starting with an XR6 bin if you think the standard shift points are lax

Might have just been the aggressive timing at ~2700 but I felt the "cop" bin sure shifted hard and high. The bin is "6DNB - 98 EL I6 Auto Cop".. I think I had a poke around with a binary diff and saw some stuff there that made me think I could use that to try and reverse engineer some basic def's for it but I got caught up in other things..
Any progress with auto tx defs?

Cant see why not as long as the motors in both cars have same mods, eg. extractors and so on, and same condition. should be fine. You'd soon know if you put it in it if you havent already :D.

If the rest of the engine is the same it should be fine, if you have doubts get it checked on a dyno.

Hi there, yes a J3 could help but unfortunately I do not have a VCT Manual bin - only auto. If anyone has one, send me a PM :) Otherwise try the resistor trick as per the guides on the forums.

No unfortunately. Requires more time that I have available... let me know how you go if you have a crack at it yourself!

Also...

T.I. Performance has sold it's 200th Chip! That's right, we've hit a major milestone! That's 200 cars getting around Australia with a T.I. Performance J3 chip, before our 2nd birthday! If you have our gear, make sure you add your car to the Owners Gallery!

Big thanks to you guys, our loyal supporters!

Cheers,
Jason

How did you go with the AU stuff? I really only need the smartlock turned off. :)

Slowly getting more support when I find time to work on the defs.

What box code did you want it turned off in? I have started doing some basic defs for fuel and spark control. Send me a PM.

Hey guys,

Finally got around to putting together a prototype 'switch chip' / tune selector switch / [insert marketing name here]. Pretty simple device, you can already run up to four tunes in our current chips - this device lets you switch between them via a rotary dial. This can be installed anywhere on the dash. Can be used for an LPG specific tune, Valet tune, speed limited/rev limited/high octane etc.

I'd be looking to sell this for somewhere around $50 to make it worthwhile. At the moment I am just trying to gauge interest. Is this something you guys would be keen on? Some pics below, click the thumbnail for a full size version.

Can you switch tunes on the fly without turning the car off?

Hi Guys,

Had a little interest in the switch, so have listed it on the site at http://www.tiperformance.com.au/products.html#switch .
