HWMC2 should work fine with 6DJC.

Cheers,

Is there any benefit between 6DJC/HWMC2 and 6DMA/HWAD3

Not AFAIK.

Try them out or take a look yourself, it's all about learning! :)

6DMA was listed as being from a Fairlane Concorde, which were fitted with the Tickford I6. I figured that would be the same as a Fairmont Ghia.
I don't think it's a certainty - I recently got some sunroof spares out of a wrecking NL Fairlane Concorde - it had the std I6 engine in it.

Did all Fairlanes get SSPS or was it just Ghias like with the Fairmonts?
NL Fairlanes and EL Ghias. From memory, 'I think' the EL Fairmont ECU had SSPS as well - just not connected up. I suppose just ask someone with an EL Fairmont to pull fault codes and see if SSPS fault code comes up.

Not sure if this is the right topic area... Can some one point me in the right direction for definitions/strategies for reprogramming a mid/late 80's F-150 fuel injected Windsor. Do they follow the same address structure as the A9L Ford Mustang ... Cheers Mike

Her Mike,

The F150s are SD based not MAF like the rest of the V8s. Easiest way is a MAF conversion, or aftermarket ECU. I'm not aware of any way to tune them.

Cheers,
Jason

Hi Jason,

Picked up a au2 vct xr6 the other week. The ecu has been replaced with one from a Fairmont ghia so I don't have adaptive shift. Do you know what the catch code should be for my car? If so I may just get you to program a J3 accordingly so I can get my adaptive shift back as the auto econ mode is killing this car atm:( I could give ford a call to find out the right catch code for my car if you don't know.

Also would like the performance tweaked for 98 octane. Maybe dual maps to suit lpg also unless the 98 octane mapping is similar to lpg mapping??

Or maybe I am best going to ford to get the ecu re flashed to latest factory specs & installing J3 just for improved mapping?

What do you think?

Hi Shane,

I can set up a 98ron/LPG spark map that will be a reasonable compromise.

I have 12CD listed as AU XR6 VCT, you may want to verify this.

Cheers,
Jason

Jason I have not been able to confirm but I would be happy to give it a go. Please send me an invoice for the one you describe.

Hi,

I have one of your kits and am trying to use it on my EF XR6 Auto. I have the 4TFA ecu. I have tried the 4TBD as a base but it doesnt seem to like it. Idles very roughly and overfuels.

Does anyone have a copy of the 4TFA bin ?

Thanks,
