Hey Jason. DO you find there is much benefit to running RON 98 or 95 on a AU motor with manual tranmsission and a mild cam/full exhaust.

Hey mate,

If you're looking to get the best power/torque, definitely yes. Obviously you'll get the best results with an ignition map to suit.

Cheers,
Jason

Hey mate,

I can disable it if you like, but it can be a good idea to keep it and get some decent economy on the highway. I normally leave it enabled.

Cheers,
Jason

So 98RON specifically will get you more power or both more power and economy.

Do you make specifically economy tunes for manual modded motors so as to achieve 10l/100km with good driving methods, but at the same time mantain good power/torque.

Hi Aurnob,

A higher octane fuel with deliver both, with the right tune. It allows more spark advance which in turn delivers more torque. I suggest you do a bit of reading about the topic online if you are interested in it.

I can't claim to achieve a specific L/100 as there are way too many variables! But yes I have done specific economy tunes for stockers, modified engines and LPG, all with good results.

My own supercharged EF with a Wade 1521a cam, modified head, 3.9 diff gears, and a histall still gets ~450km to a tank *combined cycle* with a fairly heavy foot (a lot of WOT), and would get much better again purely highway.

Cheers,
Jason

Hi mate,

No, larger injectors do not help in most N/A setups. You have to be approaching 170-180rwkw to benefit.

Jason

Great day had at the V8 Supercars at Sandown Park on Saturday. Plenty of action on the track! Our pics are online at https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set ... 630&type=1 but here are a few samples:

Hey Craig,

Latest defs are always up on the site. If you are after trans maps, suggest moving to a HWAD based bin.

Cheers,
Jason
