Sorry first message was wiped... Recently acquired another AU, series 1 98. Fresh T5 trans, mini spooled diff and then purchased a turbo kit. Kit contains inter cooler, log manifold, j3 chip, oil feed+return lines and T04 turbo. I have been told this kit only requires a larger fuel pump to run? Any suggestions on what else should be needed? I was told for a stock engine it will make between 200-220 kw but unsure of what boost that is running. This was a cheap kit to go on a very cheap car.

Okay, so thinking of running the Bosch 040 fuel pump with turbo smart fpr 800 reg and upgrading to 42lb injectors. Will this be enough? Has anyone got an opinion?

on my au i ran a walbro pump and fitted a ba xr6 turbo fuel reg with 80lb injectors..
plans were to run e 85, hense the reason for the huge injectors.. but the project was canned after 2 weeks on the road due to being defected.. on my ed i had an au xr6 engine and i ran the walbro pump, ran the std vct xr6 fuel reg and 65lb injectors.. it was making good reliable power,..... |

You will need injectors before a fuel pump. The stock AU injectors are said to be good for around 160RWKW. 42lb injectors are OTT for 200-220RWKW. A set of BA/BF injectors with XR6T fuel reg would go around 240-250RWKW (they do on XR6T's). Don't be sucked into paying extra for "XR6T injectors", the B-series turbo injectors are the same as NA. At around the 240-250RWKW mark an uprated fuel pump is worthwhile.
Put some thought into how you will control timing under boost. That's a bigger issue with AU's than fuel supply.

Okay, moved houses, new job and time for an update. AU is in a million pieces, getting ready for paint, got a few new panels after a couple too many good times

Plenty of people know about the J3. What is your question?
