LOL well that was over in record time...

I have been asked to restore the resinator to my exhaust... and i'll be receiving a letter in the mail in the coming week... lol only did 109db @ 4500rpm which isn't anywhere near as loud as they listed...

the funny thing is they didn't notice when i parked out the front of the cop shop i parked in a no standing zone... lol

Hopefully with the ressy back in it will take it down a heap more... but i'm loving the lumpy exhaust noise it's makeing now :(

I would think so too.
IIRC, ADR's state the measurement should be taken at 75% of the revs where maximum power occurs

that might be right, cause na cars exhausts are usually louder than a turbo'd car

Probably around the same depth and volume as your exhaust nick.

but your's would sound worse cause your running townsville air on it... lol

I got a dodgy sound clip off of my mobile... cause i couldn't find my digi cam to make a short film...

how do i post it up? or should i just upload and palm off the link?

**Aye nick I'll be coming down in the next two weeks once Kat and i have settled into the new place. need a binge drinking session again

same thing happened to mine, what 146? they have there metre's WRONG!!! im not going to get into explain decibles here right now because its would take for ever, but do a search on them ..

you need to increase the sound level by 100% to jump up 10dB or something that ...

As for mine, mine came up as 91.9dB at 3250 From the cop book, thats the "aprent" highest noise level from EB2-ED falcons . 90dB is sposed to be the limit in QLD but they have a 2% leway ..

But the interesting part is, When you rev or decel the motor, Thats when it hits 110, 120dB But its mearused at a constant 3250RPM on EB2-ED falcons in netrual, or park ...

Maybe I should write a tech issue on decibles explained ..

146dB is way above the threshold of pain for a human ear, louder than a jet taking off, much louder than a heavy metal concert. Your cop buddies are full of s**t, and did it wrong.
