And that really is a stupid comment.

+1. If it was a BTR, then maybe, ZF > manual > BTR.

with the manual comment i drove my mates ba xr6 4sp, it has 180rwkw.
my au manual with about 120 or 130 rwkw pulled much harder. even he said so

autos dont have the solid drivetrain so never feel as responsive.

just my 2 cents worth

Really.. Interesting..

My manual says different.. 75L... Seems your manual sucks.

Although I've seen 3 different figures for ute fuel tanks - 75, 78 and 80L. Not even Ford can decide.

drive both and youl find the 6speed goes way better.but personally id prob have the 4spd auto as its a hell of a lot cheaper when something goes wrong. the oil in the 6 speed auto just for a service is $600 just for the oil! and the early 6spd autos had a plastic oil pan and ive seen a few silly people tear a hole in them when they run over things, a replacment box from ford is over $10k ! althogh i must say though a new fg turbo with the 6spd auto is an awesome drive!

my mates mum has a zf 6sp xr8 and it goes like the clappers....cant compare a our 2 sixes to an 8.

i was suprised how the au fared against my mates ba...he even said he would prefer the au.
the direct drive does add heaps of throttle response, and au's are lighter....all would help it pull better

if you promise to come help me push it to the servo i will test your theory.
ive never got anywhere near 75 in it, but trip comp could be really pessimistic.

No... I've pushed mine a couple of times before. They are a bit heavy for that.

Massive difference between a BTR and a ZF.
