^ great advice!!! Throw in hoses and thermostat whilst you're at it! Cringe thinking about all of the 10 year old radiator hoses getting around in these cars...

Something like 70% of all engine failures stem from failure of the cooling system. Small $$$ now saves big $$$ later.

ok,
radiator is on the way.
I was planning on following the gregorys to flush the system and replace the coolant.
Any handy hints or things that the service manual doesnt tell me.
Also any recommendations on coolant type.

flushing the gregories way is a b**ch.

I just take the thermostat out and flush though both holes in the lower housing.

im using redline water wetter atm, just to try something else, its just anti corrosion stuff, coldest you see here in perth is about 2 deg at 4am so you dont really need anti freeze.

its about $30 for a 600ml? bottle, which is enough for 15L
