96 xh Ute airbag HELP!!!
gday all i have just ran my diagnostic code reader through my brothers xh Ute and got a code and just need a little help with what its for 33 air bag - high resistance or open circuit? also the air bag light in the cluster flashers i have tried to pull the globe out but it sounds a alarm. just a little info on the car full exhaust, camed and chipped, t5, 250,000kms. any help is very much welcomed.. cheers all

i know why, there is a sensor that 2 wires go into it behind the glovebox, the wires are covered by fluoro conduit. To replace it, easiest just to undo the top of the dash, look around for it (conduit runs to the far passengers side of the dash) and make sure the wires are connected. if not, the little f**k needs replacing (they are only like $5 max from the wreckers)
I found that out when i put my dash back in and forgot to connect it so the module beeped and the light flashed so i just lost 30mins and connected it back up with the dash just a little forward

cheers ashcook i have tried clearing the codes but it still flashers what do you mean by your BEMhad been out to upset it?

do they have a airbag modual?

Find the blanking resistor (near the Airbag module, behind the fuse panel) pull it out and put it back in to it's plug.
The blanking resistor doesn't look the same as the EL PAB blanking one. Don't PM me - if I reply, it's via the applicable thread.
