Yeah, know what you mean, my arms don't fit either, I use to get an apprentice to change the light bulbs on the EF/ELs on the battery side, my hands are too big for that too. I have a 'S' shaped spanner for the BBM models to get at the bolts.

So that's the techincal term, 's' shaped spanner? 10mm?

Coz I don't know how I'm going to get the proper tension once I put everything back together.

Thanks people.

I also just used exactly what you have used, plus longer extensions...its a pain...I remember nearly scraping the skin of my arm, trying to get it between all the obstructions...

hi
if its the second bolt from the rear on the the bottom you can get it from the top through the gap between port 5 and 6 with a 10 mm spaner.
its a slow pain in the a** to get but i got mine that way..

and the rear one you should be able to get with a socket and extension bar..

ah.. for those of you who remember my post from august. I had to do this, never worked on a falcon before and after asking about a hundred questions on here I cracked into it. Done in 2 evenings work and it was actually quite easy. And it's going strong now with the AU gasket and a ported head with a cam grind. :-)

Do you feel your idle improved a little, and just the general running qualtity of the engine? I'm hoping all these new gaskets, cleaning, etc., breaths a little bit of fresh air into it.

well... not really because my cam has made the idle lumpy. :-) and I love it like that.

but it doesn't blow smoke everywhere and drink all the water like it did with a blown gasket. lol
