pfft, April 98 EL Futura (Hybrid) 287000kms, never done a head gasket, original engine and trans, no body work, slight dent in bonnet (have to look to find) no other body imperfections. runs smoother than most EF/ELs ive driven (ie only a very slight miss at idle). owned by parents work before i bought it, ive put the last 52000 on it in 2 years 2 months. (only 1 year 10 months with license). no substitute for sitting on 100km/h on a country highway and never sitting in city traffic. most people get in it and then see the odo and dont believe it could be true.

299000. Head died at 240000, it was almost cheaper to fit an au motor than fix the head, so I did. The rest of the cars A-OK though.

96 EF GLI 255,000
95 EF XR6 132,000
97 EL Fairmont Ghia V8 285,000

The 96 EF GLIs engine is awesome. Can really go hard and has no problems at all. Never had a head gasket change either.

1 Tough looking car too.
