well this is still an ongoing affair.
I have just got my hands on a large sum of money so i can get back to buisness.

I still have a couple of things to clear up: Iv been trying to sort out an EL ECU but they all want the numbers for one could some one help me out with this??????
Also th eBlue back valve Non ov the wreakers or ford seem to know what this is but that ok i can go it and pick it off one they are wreaking but first i need to know where it is????????????

Also im not running A/C and im after an Idler bracket...... I rang up fprd and the guy thier said that EL/EF would be the only models with them and that they are rear.....so i rang aroung a few wrekers and they all had only seen them with AC..........Id hate to have to but an AC pump just so i can run the car and i my cars never had AC so it would be a pain installing it...

Thats it .......... For Now

no the ea-ed aircon pumps are different how they mount..they actually mount about 12mm further back and the belt wont line up..
but if you can get an idler from ef/el(non aircon) you can fit that to the au block..

afaik you can change the power steering pulleys over as the rest of the power steering pump is the same :)

Re the heater hoses, are you referring to the ones off the firewall?

If so, I would recommend installing them on the heater box pipes before you put the engine in. While you are at it, put on some proper screw hose clamps, and point the screw head down, so that you can get a long screwdriver on to them from underneath in the future if you have to change them.

Oh, please use new hoses. Now is the easiest time to replace them all, especially the ones under the manifold.

Cheers

Oh ok........thanks mate
I have the engine in but dont have the intake on yet, This is because im having trouble getting the BBM to sit low enough.... It keeps on hitting thebloddy heaters hose that runs straight along to the fire wall?????????

Ah got it.

The heater hoses for the EF/EL and AU are different to the EB heater hoses. You need to get EF/EL hoses. It goes down under the the manifold like the other one.

Change them, then put in the manifold.

The one with out the Tap has a bend at the top where it goes on the heater box, then it runs down the fire wall, and then has a large U bend where it comes up and connects to the Metal pipe that comes from around the back of the engine.
