yeah same engine, same output. Stock flywheel kw is 182kw, so I guess around the 140-145kw mark? Torque is 380 Nm

auto XT weighs about 1648kg
auto XR6 weighs about 1664 kg

Yep the BA XT and BA XR6 both have 182 kw, there is little difference in straight line speed....

The autos have about 10rwkw less than manuals, XR6s have a slightly different diff ratio. Thats the only reason XR6s may be slighty faster than a stock XT.

lsd, traction control, bigger tires, better suspension, better aero dynamics also help make it quicker

LSD is an option on the XR6s.
Better aero dynamics? :?
It's alllll about the diff when it comes to XR vs XT.

so they are a pretty good engine just the stock xt... 130odd rwkw isnt too shabby for a stock engine... so im guessing with a few mods such as a 2.5" exhaust, extractors and air filter u would b lookin at 150+ rwkw right?

I was looking at getting an xr6t or an xr8 bit little outa price range for the moment, so was lookin at maybe an xr6 but if the stock xt can do just as well performance wise, might as well save the money and do up an xt yeh?

Ppl who have the xt's, what do u think? worth the cash?

last question, if they are the same engine, how come they r much more expensive then just the xt? is it just cause of the little things like lsd and that or what?

I have an XT and an XR6T and my advice is save a bit extra and go for the T. It really is far and away from the NA six.

Having said that, an XT can pump out 180rwkw and mid 14 second quarter miles without too much trouble. The XR interior is much nicer though, and you also get the XR suspension, tyres and rims and all that. If I were you I'd save till you can afford an XR6T.

mmm maybe

its not saving, I can easily get a loan for 40k but I just dont really want to just yet lol

Ill see how things go... id say ill go the xr6, but on the other hand u can get decent xr8's for not much more, which sounds good to me

with not much trouble... what sorta mods would get an xt doin 180kw?
