i would have gone with its just a little broken its still good :)

you didnt happen to loose a valve spring in the process did you?
as you know dima suffered the same failure but we believe that was due to the spring colapsing.
either way rpd rocker gear is a better solution :)

the springs appear ok, with th exception that, they no longer extend all the way. I'm thinking bent valves are stopping that.

Once new engine goes in, I plan to strip this one down find out what happened exactly.

From what can be seen, the auxillary sproket has been stripped/broken, resulting in a timing failure, causing piston valve loving.

interesting mate that happened to a motor of mine auxilary sroket broke but timing stayed intact so only killed bearings from lack of oil lol.

be interesting to see what exactly happened when you stripped it down, could have been a tensioner failure or all ure guides shat themselves at once.

seems strange though ive seen rockers broken before but this is obviously from pistone meeting valve.

bugger anyway what kind of motor you replacing it with tickford?

Na this little baby is only a 0.540" lift jobbie, cant push those valve springs any further or you will kill the lot with coil bind.

You will have to settle for Dima's broken rockers as he is the only one who has done it on one of the 0.600" cams

yeah, got a low K EL ticky engine coming.

p****d I wasn't giving it a boot at the time, then at least I could say.

"look 16sec 1/4 with a dead engine"
or
"phat burnout <pic> dead engine"
