I like to eat rice once in a while, some times I try and stay away from the once that a cooked in those high pressure turbo rice cookers.

have a drag race against a stock BA XR turbo, you can hear the turbo start to reall spool and then they're gone
you can deffinately hear it, you could also hear Rmyers powerdyne, it was quiet, but you could still hear it. i don't think this 'induction' noise would really sound like a supercharger/turbo, but more of a sound of their own.

calm down people......... if you listen hard enough you would hear a distinct whining/sucking sound under hard acceleration. I hear it all the time under this condition. its also from the impellers & veins of your torque converter before shifts {hard}.
its there, just listen. some times its more noticeable after a new mod e.g cams or quieter exhaust. theres no big deal or get to excited & start spooling up for arguments.

Well I'm not claiming that it sounds just like a turbo, or supercharger - but it's probably the best way to describe the noise.
I agree that it's just induction noise, and in my case probably a bit of pulley/belt noise or something too lol. |

Then you get someone storming throu the doors with guns blazing & all serious!
