I have a new fuel pump & filter in my EF and am just wondering would it be worth removing & cleanig out the fuel tank at any stage during a cars lifetime? Does a heap of crap build up in the bottom of a fuel tank over time. The car has done 220k

It won't hurt and yes there could be a fair amount of dirt and stuff in there, clean it out with Metho.
Fuel is dirty no matter what they do to it.
