The pricing on this motor should be around $8900+ when packaged. it'll be a fare price i reckon...

Are you pulling numbers out of your a*** or is that an estimate given by CMS?

Is that for a whole new engine or the persons engine modified?

Its what I would suggest CMS to charge everyone. 20% off a group buy of 5+ members. it's just business and it sounds reasonable to me......

my greatest concern is the price for this engine puts it in the ballpark for a BA Engine conversion.

will drop the demant i imagine.
still.. it'll be great to see what a SOHC 4.0 (4.8) can do when pushed to its limits.

it probably would! but the 4.8 cms engine should out perform the std n/a ba twin cam by a s**t load...

ofcourse it would... however i think its safe to say a BA motor would be a lot more reliable :P
and its not hard to get some good power out of a BA motor N/A.

then.. what if you grenade a $7k motor... BA motors are a lot cheaper once you've done the conversion.

sure, you might need engineering for a BA motor, but i dare say it'd all end up costing the same.

i'm not saying a 4.8Ltr doesn't have a place, i'm simply saying a lot of people would spend the money in other ways as its much more viable now.

i think that list is getting smaller... especially with that price tag attached.

Well unless Joe's told Slick, and Slick has let it slip. I'm not inclined to beleive it.

Wait til figures come from Joe.

I SAID it's the price I would "suggest" CMS to sell it, and it's the right price bracket for it too. LOL

it's just business boys!

why would you suggest a price??? how would you no how much its worth until we have seen reliability, performance figures etc?

bit over priced i think. could buy a excellent turbo setup with ecu and tune for that much. not to mention it would make twice the power...
and dont say but id rather na, who gives a f$#k, power is power and when you can get it for half the price youd be stupid to let personal preference get in the way

my 5c... like it take it, if you dont, shuv it
