That is what I thought, but some on on here recently said they are both made by Bosch... go figure.

yer but i guess not everything bosch is made under the same roof, a few yrs ago i worked for empire rubber making rack boots and door rubbers and other rubber stuff for ford holden and other models everythink left the factory packed as BTR goods, it turned out that empire rubber had a contract filling orders for a division of BTR, so maybe bosch had some other company making the coil packs under contract for bosch.

no worries, i spose it at the end of the day it dont matter who makes em the au one's are more reliable, but do thay have a diffrent part number and if you by a aftermarket one do thay sell them as ef-au coil packs or are the after market ef still s**t.

just a bit of info, i went looking for coil on plugs and from what i found in the US they are $77.45 each.

So looks like i might go for the AU coils.

Yes it will , I can talk first hand about AUIII coil packs on EF, I don't know if AU I and II are the same. You will need to rewire the LT side so you will need the AU plug from the wiring loom and buy some AU plug leads as they are different here as well. Having done that you will find no difference other than the size of you bank balance. There is already a thread on this, try out your search button.

you could always grab 6 single post coils and wire them in pairs. mount them somewhere easy to get for future lead changes,
