Done some looking around couldnt find the info i was after

did a test on my car and all the cylinders came back at 180. thats pretty good from what i can tell (all being equal and such)

is 180 ok for a car that hasnt had the head off or shaved?

does the idle change when warm? theres so many areas... fuel delivery, timing, ignition spark (plugs, leads, coil pack), O2 sensor, blockages to cat or filters. go through each one until you find the culprit.

good news is your internals are spot on :)

+1 for whats a leakdown test.

The 'Leakdown Test' would appear to be the same as what the Aero Industry refers to as a 'Differential Compression Test'. If you know a LAME you have access to the equipment required or you can make one up (if you can access a compressor) as I did when I was teaching AME Apprentices and ran a 'clinic' so they could do their own rides. The main pro is that you know exactly where your donk is losing compression.

sounds like timing is up the s**t.

but if its timing, why would the engine only hesitate when its first started?
