G'Day, thinkin of gettin some more power out of the ute. Its an XG, EL XR6 (non-au type) cylinder head with 65,000kms, slighty shaved with an AU headgacket, Pacemaker extractors (unknown type) 2.5" cat and piping to muffler, single straight through muffler with 2.25" dump.

I wouldn't mind changing the springs and installing shims, but I don't want to have to run an aftermarket ecu or have to do an engine rebuild yet... Got a budget of about 1,000 including the cam, variable cam gear, and everything else I'll need. What is the biggest cam I can put in it? Heard good things about the DEV5HL one...

You need to change the ecu if you put the del5hl in I have a dev3hl with the factory ecu and it works great.
