Hey guys,have been sorting out which way to go with my EA 3.9 cfi sedan,as I mentioned in my build thread for the ute i was going with a cms stage 3 cam as i have all the other bits springs vernier cam gear collets etc,but i have a EF engine with auto still atached (approx:250,000) from running car and I was thinking maybe refreshing the head and gasket and using the EA cfi camshaft with the vernier cam gear set up with BBM EL ecu & J3,what I am wondering is what associated parts I need to change as well-will be going to a dissy of course but should XR spec springs be used instead of standard? and would going 5 speed manual get a better result compared to the auto with this combo?
![]() p.s will be changing diff gears 3:45.1 lsd. Would love a bit of guidance with this one

Never mind!-shall sort it out,more to the point all i wanted to know is,is the CPFI camshaft the most aggressive cam profile in stock form for the MPFI 4.0 L?

Is it just EA/EB? Just working out what heads I have that take 14mm to later Eseries heads taking 11mm,I have lots of Ford 14mm HLA's,I have used other Nason products but never the HLA's-anyone had any problems with them?

EF/EL/AU 11mm Thanks SWC-I am just in shock with Ford-will use Nason unless I go with the stage 3 cam.

You use the same lash adjusters with a CMS Stage 3.
