99.999999999% sure ol buddy search could of helped you out on this one coz I know I've answered it a few times.
Stock is 2.25" press bent.
XR is 2.5" press bent. Mufflers are supposedly higher flow as well, though I cant confirm that. I honestly wouldnt go to the trouble of putting one on. XRs have what, an extra 7kw? at the fly over stockers? 7kw spread over an exhaust, tune, cam, compression?, . Def not worth it.
Theyre interchangeable at the cat though, cant swap sections as theyre different diameter.

So converting to an XR6 System is not worth it then? What happens if you can get a second hand system for an ok price? and what would be an ok price? And if you have some of the links of the threads handy can you post it up please.

Dont even bother with an "XR6 exhaust system" go to any exhaust shop and get a 2.5 mandrel bent system installed for $300ish...dont pay too much more...

I can send him to a place guaranteed under $300, any muffler optioned, straight through pipe, hotdog etc Redback system - but if you are talkin a "high flow" cat lets say a magnaflow add another $200 upwards...well thats a different story..I used to have a "High flow" cat in my gas EB...a special one.. a "No cat" found that to flow the best...
