while driving on motorway at a steady pace in top gear(auto) she seems to have a flat spot when applying the gas gently kinda feels dull until I press harder on the gas and she kicks back and off she goes. any ideas please?

Have you tried replacing the fuel filter first? Just to ensure it's not blocked up would be a cheap place to start for around $12 I think.

thanks, since posting here I have changed fuel filter still had the original one, was very grotty seems better now.
