Hi, I recently purchased a 96 el 5 speed with a reco 98 hybrid motor and it seems to have a flat spot from about 2000rpm to 2500-3000rpm, if I constantly be very heavy on the accelerator it sort of misses the flat spot but has minimal performance, of I sort of "spool" it up and hold it at about 2500 rpm then out my foot into it, it regains all performance, but once revs drop the flat spot is there and is much worse when cold, fuel filter, o2 and map sensor, car has been hollowed out.

After searching my results has came up as aux shaft, anyway I can check of current one is good? (I have a spare dizzy)

Not sure if it helps, but engine has 3" mandrel bent intake pipe, big mouth cai.

Pull the current one out and inspect the gears.
