cant really say that ive had a heap of problems but i can say if i were to ever do this conversion again id get myself a donor car...
every time i go to do some more work it turns out that im missing something and due to losing my license going down to the wreckers is a fair hassle. current problems are, - i have no fuel lines - missing a few vacuum hoses - missing bolts and screws - missing battery frame (not looking forward to welding a new 1 in) - need a few of the main power wires i bet ill find a few more things im missing along the way there arent really any questions just wanted to vent some built up anger out (oh and if any1 has any of the bits i just listed im willing to buy) |

I totally understand where you are coming from, as I have been there myself.
It will all come together in the end, and you WILL be able to look back and laugh at the issues. Keep Going. It is worth it. BenJ

As Benj said, ITS SO WORTH IT.
I'd make a list on paper (i'm sure you already have) and take it to the wrecker one day and just pillage as many parts as you can. Get 2 of everything, Take the complete vac line setup and keep it in one piece. Even take some photos of where the s**t goes in the wrecks. Every bit of info you can get helps, but keep it up man...Its so worth it the first time you drive it again!! Andrew.

i cut the battery frame out coz it was rusted to the s**t,
yeah made a massive list on a pad but ive done that every weekend for the past 3 months and seem to miss stuff everytime im trekkin on because there are bets goin on whether or not ill finish... money is good persuasion |

I know the fuel lines can be different but what exactly is the problem here?

with the fuel lines i just cut the EL lines in the middle and used a brass air fitting and joined normal EFI hose to it.
Not a big deal really. |

so i sucked it up and went down to the wreckers and bursons... $400 later and i recon the car will start tomorrow wish me luck

seein as tho no1 wished me any luck the car didnt start.... it actually did nothing at all when i hooked the battery up the headlights came on (switch off) but nothing else would happen at all im guessing bad wiring somewhere and/or a bad earth

well dont give up, you will get there. Cars can be a pain in the a***, but thats not why we do it, we do it for enjoyment, and im sure there will be lots when its running.

ok now its doing stuff strange...
when i disconnect the fuel pump wires the headlights switch off and with the headlights off its sings that beep beep beep tune as if i left the lights on after turning the car off... i get a few idiot lights, (check susp), (AIRBAG), (!), |

ok got the car cranking... but headlights still doing their thing and no spark dont know if i have fuel but ive given up for tonight if any1 has any ideas it'd be much apreciated

I had a similar issue, I swapped all the engine bay relays including the fuel and ecu relays. I can't remember what fixed it

Sorry, i would have wished you luck, but i havent been on much.
Were any parts of the looms you used out of crashed cars? If so, did you notice any loom damage? Even a small squish? Did you use all high series looms and BEM? I may have already asked what looms you have used through our conversations, but i have forgotten. Reason i ask is that my donor car was a writeoff. It had some loom damage in the front right guard section that i had to repair. There was some stuff that didn't work properly on the donor, so i repaired this section of the loom before doing the swap. Once everything was working properly, i sealed up the loom, then did the conversion into my EB. Obviously this is too late for you too do, but you may have to trace back and inspect some of the loom, and as you said, i support you earth checking idea. Andrew.
