Some of those have been verified by multimeter on the engine, most are just from looking at the schematics and matching up colors.

Max Ellery's manuals are really really bad for accuracy.. particularly with regards to the schematics.

Hayes are heaps better, but not perfect.

The manual I bought online arrived for the EL, and its a friggin Elleries asw well, so I'm no better of than I was before. (except that my Walbor GS342 has arrived today as well... sweet)

This is harder than I was expecting.. but only have to do it once right?

Can anyone fill in any of those?

I've looked for A gregory's for an EL.... not found one yet.

Tomorrow I'm going to pull out the old EA wiring loom and figure out how the injectors and stuff is wired in.. that will hopefully teach me enough to fill in a heap more of the wiring chart as the injectors can't have changed or the EL computer wouldn't be running my ED motor atm. :-)

would have been nice if someone else had adapted the harness before me.. but what they hell.. its not brain surgery, just time consuming and fiddly when you don't have the appropraite documentation.

The colour codes on this schematic are correct, I have chased down a few sensor gremlins in my EL falcon in the past few years and everything in that schematic is correct.

Cheers.............

Just spent an hour trying to clean the image up so I can see all the colours accurately.. I have 3 different versions now.. all more readable for different areas.

I could almost go out in the shed and work now.. despite it being nearly 3am... :-)

Was planning on making a bit of a tech doc from it..

IE how to adapt an EL engine harness to plug straight into a EA-ED loom...

Think it might be worth it compared to customizing the ED loom to fit.

This is where I am at now... I do have a question though.. the sensor on the log manifold on the inside (closest to the block) of the log near the middle.. That is the pickup for the MAP sensor yes?

Anyway, here is where I am at for both ED and EL mapping.. a ways to go yet.

Hey Mr P100...

If your still "Out on good behaviour" could I bother you for a slightly higer res version of that ED Ford manual that you posted a while back..

I've almost got the ED loom nailed. just a couple of things I want to go though and no matter how much I clean up the one you posted earlier, I can't read the small text..

I realised that I don't need to map out the whole EL loom to get this working.. only need to map out the ED one and then find the same wires in the EL one. I will do the full EL one though, because we should have it on record.

any chance dude?
