just trips me out man was working fine up untill about a week ago.

definatly try and get hold of a map sensor, i did a test today for you, i unplugged mine to put it on my el as i only have one good one between 2 cars, and i had to jumpstart the el off the fairmont so i was running it with no map sensor, it was blowing fuel out the exhaust(running rich) and when i took it to 3-3500 rpm it ran just like yours, it was running rough as f**k

sounds like its map sensor then, someone could of bumped it while they were taking the old motor out, or hose could be cracked

ok sweet well ill definatly go and grab one from my local spears shop for a dollar (pick-apart) and ill test it.now im going to sound like a d1ck head but thats the one with one hose coming out of it and the electrical plug on the other side of it too yeah? if so then we are all on the same track if not i need a picture asap!!

It's black and it's above the bbm mounted to the firewall by 2 screws

the plug goes into the bottom of it and so does the vacum pipe from the manifold

well i changed it still same s**t.went to bursons and ordered a dizzy cap and will be changing it tomorrow when it comes in.i hope it ssomething simple.im going to go and check the inlet manifold gasket spray abit of carby cleaner and see if it makes any difference.
