So I'm looking in the near future (that being a couple of years from now when I get off my P's) to put a turbo in my AU Falcon (6 cyl), maybe even a twin turbo.
What would I have to do in order to upgrade it and if I were to buy a XR6T engine, how modern could I go? |

You can fit an FG engine but you will need to use a BA/BF sump and oil pickup.

I wouldn't need to change the gearbox or anything? It'd bolt straight on to the AU one?

Bellhousing and box will bolt straight on. But depending on what Kw you are producing, the stock AU gearbox won't last long.

Sounds cool, what was your intended budget? You could always throw a turbo kit or raptor super charger on an au vct motor

I don't have a budget yet. Im still on my p's and I won't be off for another 3 years, and i'll hopefully be in the army, so that'll be even longer, so i'll be saving up for a while.
I was thinking of buying something along the lines of a FG XR6 turbo and whacking another on, or even a turbo (or two) on an 8 |
