A trip to the dark side!!!! Toyota man in Ford "Territory"..... OK poor dad joke.

I recently bought a 09 Ford ute from Pickles. Pickles said all mechanicals A1. Arrived in ADL and trans is toast and so is the tail shaft uni joint. Lesson 1 never trust pickles......

The ute is low KM and straight, so its a keeper.

Deciding to rebuild 5 speed or convert to 6 speed ZF. Saw Fordmods guy on youtube who converted his in a sedan to a 6 speed zf.

Are all Ford 6HP26 interchangeable between BA, BF, FG and sub sets like eco lpi providing you have the matching PCM and TCM?

Can someone do a youtube on where the wiring loom has to come out and where the 6 speed goes in.

Is the shifter (with pc board) a straight swap with the 5 speed shifter? eg. just pull the 5 speed and click the 6 speed in.

Are there any linkage changes or modifications that need to be done?

What changes, modifications have to be done for the cooler?

Are all ZF tail shafts interchangeable between BA, BF and FG regardless of ute or sedan?

I have my eye on several of these parts ready to do the swap just want to make sure I'm buying right parts.

I supplied the parts to do a 5spd to 6spd conversion on a ute a few years ago.

If I recall, I supplied:

- FG 6spd trans
- Engine\trans wiring loom
- ECU
- Trans mount\cross member
- Driveshaft

I think that was all, the guy got the ecu programmed to the car and away he went.

Shifter is the same between 5 spd and 6 spd, BF trans won't work in an FG.
