i am looking at getting a ba xt if i get it can i put the xr6 body kit on in without to much trouble. also what are the standard modifications on the xr6 that the xt does not have?

body kit will fit if you change the headlights,

afaik:
different diff ratio,
engine and gearbox are the same,
different suspension

are the main differances

thanks for that i wanted to change the lights anyway. is the exhaust any diffrent?

Only on the XR6T, but then again with the turbo model there are a lot of other differences like the compression ratio, conrods and valve springs.

only difference between xr6 and xt is the xr styling and the suspension

Performance mods: typhoon + territory pipe with K&N filter, full exhaust, BPR generic tune, lowered, xr6t front brakes, territory rear brakes
Visual mods: 19" rim, lower grill mesh, oil pressure and vacuum gauges, engine bay lighting, foot well lights
some of my main mods
