i used to get about 750 out of a tank on a trip with my el 6cyl and about 450 in town.

the honda averages about 10l per 100kms around town and 8l per 100 on a trip.hence the reason i got rid of the el..

Used to do that trip every couple of months in a AU Fairmont & would get about the same.

Damn ... I use more than that ... I need to get my odometer fixed though.

I can't wait to do a good highway run in the car to see how well it goes though ... so far since I bought the ute I have only driven around town. I miss the economy of the old little Proton Satria ... I used to get 700-750km out of about 40L of fuel ... and that was averaging 120km/h on the highway ... it was awesome ... this was after few mods ... in stock form it wasn't that good.

when i converted my EL XR6 to a manual, on hte 2nd week, i did a trip from Melbourne to Adalaide, i tanked @ Bachers marsh to a full tank of premium @ the BP on the highway, and made it all the way to the CDB and to north road, then i had to tank.. i think on the trip meter i did 750km on that tank, but by the end i was basicly driving it on the fumes. i cant remember how it went with the auto, it was long ago

				870k's out of a tank

adelaide to hay (710ish) with trip comp claiming another 120km's to empty. accross the hay plains would sit on 7l/100k. for round trip to qld from adelaide i averaged 9.4. that included driving round up there. my brother did the journey in a ba xt and economy wasn't much dif on highway.

i do shift work so round town i am rarely in heavy traffic so i get 600 - 650 per tank.
